When the weather outside is frightful, what better way to warm up than with a festive winter cocktail that is delightful? If you thought summer was the cocktail king, think again—it's winter's time to shine. Barflies gathered our favorite winter cocktails to put you in the spirit of the season. Featuring seasonal flavors plus warm and cozy hot drinks and Christmas-themed cocktails, these cold-weather cocktails will get everyone feeling festive.
1 part blue curaçao
1 part vodka
1 part Half 'n Half
Put the ingredients in the shaker with a few ice cubes and shake vigorously. Strain the mixture through the bar strainer into a cocktail glass. The drink, which is impressive due to its light blue color, is rounded off with a milky, creamy taste.
2 oz Bailey's Irish Cream
6 oz Hot Coffee
1 oz Irish Whiskey
1 Whipped Cream (optional)
Combine Baileys, coffee and Irish Whiskey in a tall "Irish Coffee" glass. Top with whipped cream. The classic cold weather cocktail taken to new heights of flavor with Irish Cream.
6 Cups Milk
1 cup Semisweet Cocoa Powder
Cinnamon stick
Ground cinnamon
Tbsp. Vanilla extract
1/2-cup Sugar or Brown Sugar
Pinch of cayenne pepper
10 oz Whiskey
Whipped Cream (Optional)
Place a saucepan over medium heat and add 6 cups of milk, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, ground cinnamon, ground chili powder, and cayenne pepper. Whisk these ingredients together. Add whiskey and garnish with semisweet or dutch chocolate powder, cinnamon stick or brown sugar. Makes eight 8 ounce servings.
Bellinis use a sparkling wine usually Prosecco, an Italian brand and mimosas use champagne.
The Bellini is a famous cocktail hailing from Italy. Giuseppe Cipriani, the founder of the legendary Harry's Bar in Venice, first created this classic Italian cocktail in the 1940s that uses pureed peaches and cherry juice that give it a signature pink color.
Equal parts of champagne or Sparkling Wine and Cranberry Juice
Mix the liquids together in a pitcher and put the loose cranberries in the glasses. Use flute glasses and let the cranberries float on top.

4 cups fresh egg nog
1 cup rum
1 cup Kahlua
1 tsp nutmeg
1 vanilla bean
1 tsp cinnamon
Mix well but gently. Slice the vanilla bean lengthwise and scrape the sticky seeds into the mixture. Add the cinnamon and nutmeg. Stir again. Pour all the ingredients into one big bowl or the bowl you’re going to serve the eggnog. Makes six 8 ounce servings.

1/4 c. finely chopped apples, plus more, thinly sliced, for serving
2 Tbsp. light brown sugar
2 to 3 cinnamon sticks, plus more for serving
1 (750-mL) bottle red wine
Ice
2 (12-oz.) cans seltzer water or ginger ale
In a large pitcher or bowl, combine brandy, cranberries, apples, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Add wine, stir to combine, and refrigerate until ready to serve, at least 2 hours or preferably up to 12.
